7 Thoughtful Touches to Add to Your Wedding Day for Your Guests

We all want our wedding day to be perfect, but there’s more to it than just the bride and groom.

Your guests are part of the celebration too! However, they can be forgotten in all of the hustle and bustle leading up to the big day. Here are some thoughtful touches that will make your guests feel special on your big day:

Have a food station with snacks, water and a variety of drinks.

  1. Have a food station with snacks, water and a variety of drinks.

  2. Have healthy options available for your guests. The food should be easy to eat and not messy (no finger foods).

  3. Choose snacks that are high in protein and fiber, low in sugar and fat, but also taste good!

Provide seating for the elderly and those who need it.

Provide seating for the elderly and those who need it.

Your guests will appreciate having a place to rest their feet, so make sure that your ceremony site has plenty of comfortable chairs or benches available. If you’re worried about guests taking up too much space in your venue, consider providing portable chairs that can be set up and moved around easily. In addition to providing seating options for people who need them, be sure that all areas where guests will be standing are kept clear–there should always be enough room for everyone!

If you want to go above and beyond when it comes to making sure everyone feels comfortable at your wedding, consider placing small tables near each row of seats so that no one has far to reach when they want something from their bag or purse during the ceremony (or later on).

Offer umbrellas for rainy days.

Offering umbrellas to guests is a thoughtful touch, but it can also help keep them from getting wet. It’s especially important if you’re having an outdoor wedding. If there’s even a small chance of rain, consider providing umbrellas for your guests or even having someone available to hold an umbrella over them as they walk down the aisle.

This gesture will make everyone feel more comfortable at your ceremony–and that includes not just the bride and groom! The wedding party will appreciate being able to stay dry during pictures or speeches without worrying about their clothes getting ruined by raindrops falling on them from above (or worse yet: running into other people with wet hands). This is especially true if some members of your party have longer hair than others; they may need extra protection against getting soaked while posing for photos after exchanging vows with each other (and maybe even before doing so).

Add photo opportunities for guests to capture the day’s events.

  1. Add a photo booth!

  2. Have a professional photographer on hand to capture the day’s events.

  3. Set up an area for guests to take photos, either by themselves or with others in their party. This could be as simple as putting out some fun props for them to use, or it could be more elaborate (like if you’re having an engagement shoot beforehand). Either way, make sure there’s plenty of room for everyone to get their picture taken and that the process is easy enough for people who aren’t used to being in front of cameras–your wedding will only last one day but forever afters are forever important!

Include a “thank you” table that has items such as lip balm, mints, hand lotion and tissues for guests to use throughout the ceremony and reception.

Create a “thank you” table that has items such as lip balm, mints, hand lotion and tissues for guests to use throughout the ceremony and reception. This is an easy way to show your appreciation for your guests’ attendance at your wedding! You can also include a gift for the bride and groom (i.e., champagne or wine) at this table so that they can enjoy some time together before heading into their first dance as husband and wife.

The thank you table should also be used as a place where guests can leave their gifts during cocktail hour or right after dinner ends; it’ll help avoid any confusion about where they should be placed later on in the evening when everyone starts mingling more freely again!

Create a printable map of how guests can get to the venue so they don’t get lost or confused.

To ensure that your guests have an easy time finding the venue, create a printable map. It can be as simple as printing out directions on waterproof paper and including parking information, or you can get more creative with it by putting together a Google Map that shows where each guest should park based on their arrival time and providing them with GPS coordinates to follow.

If you want to make sure everyone arrives at the right place at the right time, give yourself plenty of lead time (at least two weeks) so that people aren’t rushing around trying to find things last-minute before they need them–and don’t forget to include deadlines! If people don’t know when something is going away forever, they won’t know how much time they have left before it disappears forever…which means no one will ever know when something goes away forever unless someone tells them first!

Offer a guestbook so everyone can sign in (make sure it’s waterproof if it’s outdoors).

  1. Offer a guestbook so everyone can sign in (make sure it’s waterproof if it’s outdoors).

  2. Make sure you have enough pens on hand for guests to use, as well as paper. You don’t want your guests having to go searching around for something to write with and ink stains on their hands after they’ve finished signing.

  3. If you’d like, offer some kind of frame or album where people can place their signatures so that they aren’t scattered all over the place; this will make it easier when it comes time for you to put together your scrapbook!

Remember, it’s the thought that counts!

We hope these tips help you add a little something extra to your wedding day.
