Scott was my first crush, and he lived down the street from my grandma. One day, he offered to walk me to her house and I felt on top of the world. It was a small gesture, but it meant so much to me. You couldn’t tell me he wasn’t in to me! Lol When I turned ten, I invited him to my birthday party. Even though he was sixteen, he came, making my birthday even more special… He was all the gift that I needed. A few years later, when I was like thirteen, I think, I broke my arm, and Scott signed my cast. That cast stayed at my mom’s house long after I moved out. These memories of Scott remind me of the simple, innocent feelings of childhood. Early crushes like this leave a lasting impact and shape how we understand affection and kindness. Do you remember your first crash, and how you felt?
